If something feels off, don’t second-guess it. Our sick pet visits in Spring Valley, CA are designed to get answers quickly.
Your vet will start by asking questions and reviewing your pet’s medical records. This helps us pinpoint what’s going on and rule out underlying causes.
We’ll complete a head-to-tail exam, check vitals, and look closely at any areas of concern like the ears, skin, joints, or abdomen.
If needed, we may recommend additional tests like blood work, x-rays, or stool/urine analysis to dig deeper. These are optional but often helpful in finding the root issue. (Diagnostics are billed separately.)
Before you leave, we’ll walk you through what’s going on and what to do next. This may include medications, dietary changes, or home care instructions. Medications are prescribed based on need and charged separately.

Dr. Ertola grew up in San Francisco, where she spent her childhood engaging in activities centered around animals. She volunteered to help socialize shelter cats, worked at a summer camp with the SCPA Hearing Dogs program, and took horseback riding lessons with her cowboy grandpa. Now residing in Bonita with her husband (whom she met at UC San Diego), her two young daughters, and their tri-pawed fur baby Lab mix, Riley, Dr. Ertola cherishes her role as a veterinarian.
